is there a way to resize images using your utilites, I read over every one and I’m thinking no unless the png to jpg has ability to resize. If not is there a command i’m missing possibly installed with cydia or bsd that I can resize pictures.

guess this should be on the “ported utilities” but I’m not totally sure how to work this comments thing yet. Anyways, is there a way to port image magick without much fuss? its all command line interface anyways. Website: http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php

Erica, Something seems wrong with the new apmode.. The old version works with “apmode y”, this version doesn’t seem to work with “apmode” or “apmode y”.. Did I miss something.. Thanks again for all this great stuff..

Hi Erica, somehow i am not able to uninstall dock 2.06 “error main script execution failed!”
It was not working after the 1.1.4 update, and I love that feature! Was thinking I could uninstall and then install it again, but it won’t let me.
You seem like the iphone oracle so figured I’d ask you. If you have an idea it would be much appreciated!!!

Erica, Regarding the issue with the old version of apmode working with “apmode y” and the new version of apmode not working with “apmode y” nor “apmode”.. I tried to run the current version of apmode within the terminal and I get “Couldn’t register with bootstrap server unknown error code (0×44f); failing.. 139: ABORT: Unable to register “UknownPurpleApp”, port, 1103 unknown error code zsh: abort apmode y. I get the same message with simply issuing “apmode” as a command.. I didn’t know if you changed apmode to simply reverse the current airplane mode settings or whether the 2 arguments were still required to be passed, that’s why I tried multiple commands.. Any thoughts??

You’re just running another purple app–Dock maybe?

Quit out of the other purple app and apmode will work.

Yeah.. If Dock is running apmode is useless, the popup prompt will not come up.. Is there any way around this? In testing iBirthday, it seems that it manages to issue a popup with follow-on actions while Dock is running without causing any kind of conflicts… Thanks so much..

any possibility that you could port some form of imagemagick to the iPhone. Or something similar that allows the resizing of images from script. Or in the case of imagemagick batch resizing of images.

I know that there is already something that comes with pericam called reduceJPEG but we are having trouble using this with what we are trying to do with swirlyMMS files and storing them in the camera roll.

Erica,

2 quick questions, as I am new to iPhone and SSH etc.
I downloaded 0.65, but where in the iPhone do I put any of the apps/utilities? Do I just put them in there or do I have to run any Terminal commands?
For future reference, I tried to download via FTP initially using Transmit, but I don’t know what User ID and Pass I am supposed to use?

Sorry to pose such a silly question. I am new to the Mod world. I had the “Make it Mine” carrier name changer but since updating to 1.1.4 it seems to no longer work.
I noticed on the site there is a Zip utilities and there looks to be a new one called “setCarrier” is this the new version of “Make It Mine”?
So here is the silly question:
I downloaded the zip file (I didn’t see it in the Installer directory or at least the ones I saw were not the same version numbers, on installer its Erica’s iPhone Utils V0.11) so do I need to download some type of desktop Installer to install these onto the iphone?
you help is greatly appreciated, and love your apps to fold!

Also if “setCarrier” is not the new “make it Mine” will there be an update?

Had problems with audio recording — it was very muffled. But it turned out it wasn’t just Vnotes; Dream Catcher’s Audio Recorder and Video Recorder had the same problems. They suggested it was due to my use of Ziphone. I restored and used ilLiberty and now everything works fine. Thanks Erica.

Don’t know if these 1.x utilities still are supported, but I am looking for a 1.1.4 launch utility like the one available in your 2.0 package. Does it require a lot of hard work to get this nifty feature working for older OS versions, or is it perhaps already available in some other form?
