Package Errors

If you get package errors for any of my software, please check out this debugging page over at smxy.org. If that doesn’t help, go ahead and contact Shaun at ste@psmxy.org. Not my fault, honest!

That’s completely my fault. I forgot to put it into the tar file. Oops! Check out the page for an updated archive.

dont mean to fill up your comments but i had a question, i use term vt100, is there a way to make it so i can just type in wget and it does it, cause right now i have to go to the bin folder and type ./wget, idk if thats what you intended by “add /var/root/bin to your PATH” but i didn’t get to with just that information

Hi Erica, hard to find how to contact you, so I’ll post here my feedback about Sendsong:
1. Please make sure you are making digits only filename, there is some problems sometimes, if you are using 4 characters as filename. It wont play as Ringtone for some reason. Happens often.
2. It possible to patch iTunes, just find and patch out string “Ringtones.plist” to something like “Ringtones.iTune”, so it will not write Ringtones.plist anymore.

The 4-character thing isn’t the problem. The problem is the ordering of the keys in the plist and I’m working on fixing that. Cheers!

Hi Erica, apologies if this is a bad place for this, but I have a request/suggestion for a new iphone app, based on an awesome little java app I had for my palm many years ago: a shopping list. Basically, it’s just a heirarchically organized list of words with checkboxes next to them. Users enter categories, like VEGETABLES, MEAT, and then items under each category, like BUTTER, CHICKEN. Once entered, they appear in the list with a checkbox. This part only needs to be done once, but can be expanded as needed. Then when at home and you run out of butter, you just get your iphone and touch the checkbox next to BUTTER, and the box remains checked. Next time you are at the store, you bring up your list, and when you put butter in your cart, you tap the checkbox again and uncheck it. Another useful feature is that the categories can be expanded or collapsed, and a box next to the category head indicates whether any of the entries in that category are checked or not. As apps go, this one is probably pretty simple to code, and its usefulness is amazing. Its the one thing I still miss about my Palm. I can’t code myself or I’d do it. If you can, or know someone who could do it, it would positively benefit society. Thanks, and thanks for all the cool stuff you’ve done.
